The M2 is a short-throw touch projector that folds a big picture, a touch screen and an Android system into one battery-powered body. Its 0.29:1 throw ratio puts a large image on the wall or table from very close range, and a touch camera turns that image into a surface you write and tap with a finger or a pen. A DLP engine with a 0.23-inch DMD and an RGB-LED light source produces 350 ANSI lumens at native 1920 x 1080.
The 0.29:1 throw ratio is what lets the M2 sit beside the surface it is projecting onto, so the beam never cuts across the room and no ceiling mount is needed. The touch camera reads finger and pen gestures on the projected image, turning a wall or a desk into an interactive surface for drawing, annotating or tapping through apps.
Brightness is rated at 350 ANSI lumens on a native 1920 x 1080 DLP picture. The 0.23-inch DMD and RGB-LED light source keep the image sharp and the colour consistent, and image uniformity is over 85%. Vertical keystone correction of ±40 degrees squares the picture when the unit cannot sit dead-centre, and focus is electric.
The built-in Android 8.1 system runs media and apps directly, so a lesson, a demo or a movie does not need a laptop plugged in. An ARM CPU with 2 GB cache and 16 GB internal storage handles the system, and the projector supports wireless mirroring over Wi-Fi LAN or a hotspot.
A 12,000 mAh built-in battery makes the M2 a projector you carry rather than one you mount. Total power consumption is 60 W from a 12 V / 6 A DC input. Runtime depends on the mode and the content; the battery is specified by capacity rather than a fixed hour figure.
The projector takes an HDMI input and offers USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports for drives, mice and keyboards, plus a 3.5 mm audio output. Two 5 W speakers are built in, Wi-Fi covers 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, and BT 4.0 supports an external mouse, speaker and game controller. The Bluetooth voice remote also works through a USB 2.4 GHz receiver.
