Product Description
Product Overview

The Helios22000 is the flagship of the Helios 3LCD laser line for large venues, rated at 22,000 lumens typical with a 17,600 lumen minimum stated alongside it. The panel is a large 3 * 1.0 inch LCD set at native WUXGA 1920*1200, and the light source is laser, rated for 20,000 hours in normal mode and 30,000 hours in eco. It is built for fixed installation: ±65% vertical and ±25% horizontal lens shift, 360° installation, lens position memory with locking, and a sealed, filter-free dustproof design. The lens is motorised, 1.24–2.01:1 standard, covering 60 to 500 inches. Net weight is 28.9 kg.

Key Features & Benefits
  • 22,000 lumens typical, with a 17,600 lumen minimum published alongside — the minimum is the figure an integrator can quote without walking it back.
  • 3 * 1.0 inch LCD panels at native WUXGA 1920*1200 — a large panel, and 3LCD means colour and white brightness come from the same path rather than a colour wheel.
  • Laser light source, 20,000 hours normal and 30,000 eco — no lamp to replace.
  • Lens shift ±65% vertical and ±25% horizontal — a ceiling mount or a throw from above is corrected without moving the bracket.
  • 360° installation with lens position memory and lens locking — mount it at any attitude and the picture returns to the same position.
  • Sealed, filter-free dustproof design — no filter to clean or replace, which removes the one recurring maintenance task on a projector that hangs for years.
  • Edge blending and full geometry correction — 6-corner, pincushion/barrel and grid, so a multi-unit wall stays square.
  • HDBaseT, 3G-SDI, DMX512, HDMI 1.4 IN *2, DVI-D, VGA, USB-B and RJ45 display, RS-232C in and out — without a converter box.
A Guaranteed Minimum, Not Just a Peak

The specification sheet states brightness twice: 22,000 lumens typical and 17,600 lumens minimum. The second number is why this sheet is usable in a tender — when an integrator writes 17,600 lumens into a proposal, that figure has backing, and a large-venue audience keeps its image even if the design falls back to the guaranteed floor rather than the peak. The TYP and MIN labels are kept as the source gives them.

The Ceiling of the Range

The Helios22000 is the highest output in the Helios line, at 22,000 lumens in the same 28.9 kg sealed chassis. The step up is electrical rather than structural: allow for the higher 1,418 W draw, and the bracket, flight case and mounting plan do not change — only the power feed.

Installation Latitude

Lens shift here is ±65% vertical against ±25% horizontal. The vertical range is the practical one: a projector mounted high, or throwing from a bridge, is corrected from the control position instead of a ladder. 360° installation covers ceiling, floor, portrait or tilted, and the lens position memory with locking means a show that changes sources does not wander out of alignment — set the lens once, lock it, recall it.

Filter-Free, Sealed, and Left Alone

The chassis is a closed dustproof design that needs no filter screen and no filter replacement. A projector hanging for years accumulates dust, and the filter is the part that fails first and costs the most visits. Removing it shrinks the maintenance schedule to cleaning the intake. Operating range is 0 to 50 °C at 20 to 80 per cent humidity, with a high-altitude mode for 1,400 to 3,050 m.

Lenses and Throw

The standard lens covers 1.24–2.01:1, and the body takes a set of optional optics from 0.53:1 out to 7.50:1, so one model spans a meeting room through to a long hall or a rear-projection booth. Screen size runs 60 to 500 inches, with performance specified over 80 to 500 inches. Aperture is F1.8–2.24 with a focal range of 27.7–44.3 mm.

Connectivity and Control

The panel is built for a fixed install: HDBaseT carries video and control over one Cat run, 3G-SDI takes a broadcast feed directly, DMX512 brings the projector into a lighting desk, and USB-B plus RJ45 handle display inputs. Two HDMI 1.4 inputs, DVI-D, VGA and a shared 3.5 mm audio input cover local sources; HDMI 1.4 out and a 3.5 mm audio out complete the panel. Control is RS-232C in and out, wired remote in and out, and LAN control through Crestron RoomView, AMX Discovery and PJ Link, so the unit drops into an existing control system.
