Product Description
Product Overview

The FLY-LS18KF is a 3LCD laser projector rated at 16,000 ANSI lumens with WUXGA 1920*1200 resolution. It shares its chassis with the 12,000-lumen body — 600 * 218 * 503 mm, approximately 28.5 kg, 35 dB — and the extra 4,000 lumens cost 150 W, taking power draw from 700 W to 850 W. The standard lens is 1.3–3.02:1 with 2.3* zoom, and keystone correction is H ±50° against V ±30°.

Key Features & Benefits
  • 16,000 ANSI lumens to ISO/IEC 21118:2012 — stated as an average, not a selected sample.
  • Same 28.5 kg body as the 12,000-lumen model, with 4,000 lumens more — brighter without a new bracket or flight case.
  • Three LCD panels — colour and white light travel the same path, so saturated content is not dimmed by a colour wheel.
  • Native WUXGA 1920*1200 in 16:10, with 4:3 compatible.
  • 3,000,000:1 contrast and 90% uniformity — the second figure predicts whether the corners of a large screen hold up.
  • 1.3–3.02:1 lens with 2.3* zoom — one optic spans a short hall through to a long room.
  • Keystone H ±50° and V ±30° — the horizontal range is the larger one, so the body can sit off the centreline.
  • HDBaseT, DVI-D, HDMI 1.4 with HDCP, 15-pin Mini D-sub, RJ45 LAN, RS232 and USB, with an HDMI output for a confidence monitor.
Where the Extra Output Comes From

Stepping up from the 12,000-lumen model does not change the installation. Dimensions, weight and noise are identical: 600 * 218 * 503 mm, approximately 28.5 kg, 35 dB in normal mode and 33 dB in eco. What changes is the drive: consumption rises from 700 W to 850 W in normal mode, and from 650 W to 750 W in eco. In practice, that is 150 W more on the circuit for 4,000 ANSI lumens more on the screen.

3LCD, and Why It Matters On Camera

Single-chip DLP builds a colour image by passing light through a spinning wheel, one primary at a time. On saturated content that costs brightness, and to a camera it produces a sequential colour break. Three LCD panels split the beam into red, green and blue once, modulate each with its own channel, and recombine. Two things follow: colour brightness tracks white brightness, so a deep blue set piece is as bright as a white slide; and the image is temporally stable, which matters when the room is recorded or streamed.

Positioning and the Keystone Asymmetry

The keystone figures are worth reading twice: ±50° horizontal against ±30° vertical. That is the opposite of the usual pattern. It matters where a wall or facade dictates the mount position — the extra horizontal range lets the body be moved aside and the picture squared up, with the 1.3–3.02:1 lens and its 2.3* zoom absorbing the throw. Keystone is still a software correction: place the lens as close to correct as the room allows.

Signal and Control

Inputs are DVI-D, HDMI 1.4 with HDCP, a 15-pin Mini D-sub, HDBaseT, RJ45 for LAN control, RS232 on D-sub 9, a 3.5 mm wired remote jack, USB-A and USB-B. HDBaseT brings video and control over one Cat run from the rack. The HDMI 1.4 output is worth noting because it is often missing at this level — it feeds a confidence monitor or a second display without an outboard splitter.

Power, Cooling and Environment
Power Supply 100–240 V AC, ±10%, 50 or 60 Hz
Consumption (Normal) 850 W
Consumption (Eco) 750 W
Standby Under 0.5 W
Operating Temperature 5 to 40 °C
Operating Humidity 10 to 85%
Operating Altitude 0 to 2,500 m; High Altitude Mode required above 1,500 m

At altitudes above 1,500 m, if ambient temperature exceeds 35 °C, optical component life can be shortened.
