Product Description
Product Overview

The FLY-LS12KF is a 3LCD laser projector rated at 12,000 ANSI lumens with WUXGA 1920×1200 resolution, a 90% uniformity figure and a 3,000,000:1 contrast ratio. It is a three-panel LCD machine rather than a single-chip DLP design, so there is no colour wheel in the light path. The standard lens is 1.3–3.02:1 with a 2.3× zoom — a wide range for a single optic. The body measures 600 × 218 × 503 mm and weighs approximately 28.5 kg, drawing 700 W and running at 35 dB. Keystone correction is H ±50° and V ±30°; the horizontal figure is the unusual one, and it is what makes a side-wall mount practical.

Key Features & Benefits
  • 12,000 ANSI lumens to ISO/IEC 21118:2012 — the same standard a tender document names, quoted as an average figure rather than a best-case sample.
  • 3LCD with three panels — colour and white brightness come from the same light path, and there is no colour wheel to produce rainbow breakup on camera.
  • Native WUXGA 1920×1200 in 16:10, with 4:3 compatible — the 16:10 panel gives the full native picture on WUXGA content instead of a crop.
  • 3,000,000:1 contrast and 90% uniformity — the second figure is what decides whether a large screen still looks even in the corners.
  • 1.3–3.02:1 lens with 2.3× zoom — a single optic covering short hall throws through to a long room, so the mounting distance has real tolerance.
  • Keystone H ±50° and V ±30° — a large horizontal range allows the projector to sit off to one side of the screen rather than dead centre.
  • HDBaseT, DVI-D, HDMI 1.4 with HDCP, 15-pin Mini D-sub, RJ45 LAN, RS232 and USB — plus an HDMI output, which is the port most projectors in this class leave out.
  • 35 dB normal and 33 dB in eco, on 700 W and 650 W — a moderate draw for the output, and low enough for a rear-of-room position.
What 3LCD Changes in Practice

A single-chip DLP projector produces colour by spinning a wheel through the light path. That costs brightness on saturated content and puts a sequential colour break in front of any camera the screen. Three LCD panels do not: the light is split into red, green and blue once, each panel carries its own channel, and the image is recombined. Two practical consequences apply to this projector: colour brightness tracks white brightness, so a deep blue backdrop is as bright as a white slide; and the image is stable on camera, which matters when the room is being recorded or streamed.

Positioning With H ±50° Keystone

Most projectors in this class offer a similar vertical keystone and a much smaller horizontal one. The FLY-LS12KF is the reverse: ±50° horizontal against ±30° vertical. On a stone or glass wall where the mount cannot go where the geometry wants it, that horizontal range lets the body sit well off the screen centreline and still square the picture up. The 1.3–3.02:1 lens then covers the throw, and its 2.3× zoom absorbs the rest.

Keystone is a software correction, so still place the lens as close to correct as the room allows.

Signal, Control and the HDMI Output

Inputs are DVI-D, HDMI 1.4 with HDCP, a 15-pin Mini D-sub for analogue, HDBaseT, RJ45 for LAN control, RS232 on D-sub 9, a 3.5 mm wired remote jack, and USB-A plus USB-B. HDBaseT carries video and control over one Cat run from a rack room. The HDMI 1.4 output is the less common one: it lets the projector pass the signal on to a second display or a confidence monitor without a separate splitter. Outputs also include a 15-pin Mini D-sub and 3D-Sync.

Power, Noise and Environment
Power Supply 100–240 V AC, ±10%, 50 or 60 Hz
Power Consumption 700 W normal mode; 650 W eco mode; standby under 0.5 W
Noise Level 35 dB typical; 33 dB in eco mode
Operating Temperature 5 to 40 °C at 10 to 85% humidity
Operating Altitude 0 to 2,500 m; High Altitude Mode must be switched on above 1,500 m
Housing Moulded plastic, 600 × 218 × 503 mm, approximately 28.5 kg

At altitudes above 1,500 m, the specification sheet warns that optical component life can be reduced if the ambient temperature climbs above 35 °C — keep the intake cool.

The training center has 5 lecture halls using this 3LCD laser 12,000-lumen projector. With a brightness of 12,000 lumens, even under natural light, complex circuit diagrams and medical anatomy diagrams in the courseware can be clearly displayed, and the 3LCD technology makes the color transitions natural.

The interactive exhibits at the science museum use this 12,000-lumen 3LCD projector. Even on a 300-inch projection wall, the images remain vibrant with no vignetting, and the animations of dynamic exhibits are smooth and ghosting-free. Visitors don't experience eye strain even after prolonged viewing. The most impressive feature is the laser light source. We've been running it for 12 hours a day for over a month without any brightness decay. It's incredibly easy to turn on and off without warm-up, making setup extremely convenient. Initially, we were worried about heat dissipation with such high brightness, but in practice, the projector's temperature remains stable, and the noise level is low, completely unaffected by the explanations or interactive atmosphere of the exhibits.

With its high lumen output, no need for light blocking during the day; image brightness and contrast are consistently excellent, and installation and setup are incredibly hassle-free.
