Product Description
Product Overview

The FL-L2300U is the flagship of the L Series and the only model in the range to use a 6P light source, lifting colour coverage past 125% of REC.709. Output is 23,000 ANSI lumens with a 22,000 lumen minimum, delivered from a single 0.8 inch DMD at native WUXGA 1920x1200 in 16:10.

It is also the only model with a revised chassis: the case grows 48 mm in length to 648 x 590 x 210 mm, and that extra volume is dedicated to cooling — 38 dB, against 42 dB on the three models below it, despite drawing the most power at 1,480 W. Weight stays at 35 kg, and the lens set and I/O panel are unchanged: 3G-SDI, LC optical fibre, 500 m HDBaseT, DVI-I, DisplayPort and two HDMI 2.0 inputs.

Key Features & Benefits
  • 23,000 ANSI lumens with a 22,000 lumen minimum — the guaranteed floor is what a tender is judged on.
  • 6P light source, the only one in the range — colour coverage moves past 125% of REC.709, where deep reds stop washing out.
  • 0.8 inch DMD at native WUXGA 1920x1200 in 16:10 — one DLP chip, no convergence drift to chase.
  • 5,000,000:1 dynamic contrast and JBMA uniformity above 90% — brightness holds across a 600 inch surface rather than falling at the edges.
  • 38 dB — quieter than the 20,000 lumen model at 42 dB, so it can sit in the room with the audience instead of a rear booth.
  • 1.19–2.15:1 standard lens with 1.6x zoom over 70 to 600 inches, plus 0.52:1, 0.56:1, 4.4–7.0:1 and 4.7–7.9:1 lenses on the same motorised mount.
  • Motorised zoom, focus and shift, vertical ±50% and horizontal ±15%, with ±30° keystone on both axes and four-corner correction — align from the control position.
  • 3G-SDI, LC optical fibre, 500 m HDBaseT, DVI-I, DisplayPort and two HDMI 2.0 inputs.
The Longer Chassis Buys The Quieter Body

Usually the brightest projector in a range is also the loudest. Here it goes the other way. The FL-L2300U is 48 mm longer than the models below it — 648 mm against 600 mm — and that extra length is airflow, not packaging. The result is 38 dB typical, 4 dB below the 42 dB of the 20,000 and 17,000 lumen bodies, while running the highest power draw in the range at 1,480 W. Mounting height is unchanged because the length grows horizontally.

6P Light Source, Above 125% REC.709

The three models below run a blue and red dual-colour engine. The FL-L2300U moves to 6P, and the measurable effect is colour volume: coverage moves above 125% of REC.709, ten points past the dual-colour bodies. On stage backdrops, broadcast sport, brand colour and museum mapping, reds and ambers stay saturated at full 23,000 lumen output instead of being traded away for brightness. Phosphor wheel and colour wheel are carried over unchanged.

Four Lenses, 70 To 600 Inch

The standard 1.19–2.15:1 zoom covers most auditorium and hall throws, with a 1.6x optical range so the mounting distance does not have to be exact. The 0.52:1 and 0.56:1 short-throw optics bring the body close to the screen wall for tight rooms; 4.4–7.0:1 and 4.7–7.9:1 reach the far end of a stadium or a long projection-mapping throw. Every lens shares the centred mount with full motorised focus, zoom and shift.

Broadcast And Staging Infrastructure

The panel connects directly to production hardware, with no converter boxes in the chain. 3G-SDI takes a camera or vision-mixer feed as it comes. The LC fibre terminal carries the picture from a machine room well beyond copper distance, and HDBaseT combines video with control over one Cat run at up to 500 metres. DVI-I and DisplayPort are there for installed media servers, which leaves both HDMI 2.0 inputs free for a local laptop. Outputs cover 3D SYNC, VGA, analogue audio, RS232 and RJ45 LAN.
