The FL-L1500U is the entry model of the L Series, and it is built like the rest of the range rather than like a cut-down version of it. It delivers 15,000 ANSI lumens, with a stated 14,000 lumen minimum, from a single blue laser driving an RGB three-colour phosphor wheel and a colour wheel, through a 0.8 inch DMD at 1920x1200 in 16:10, at REC.709. Dynamic contrast is 5,000,000:1 and JBMA uniformity is above 90%.

The body measures 600 x 590 x 210 mm at 35 kg, and the connection panel carries the full set found on the larger models: 3G-SDI, optical fibre on LC, HDBaseT, DVI-I, DisplayPort and two HDMI 2.0 inputs.

• 15,000 ANSI lumens, with a 14,000 lumen minimum also published — a tender asks for the floor, not the peak.
• 0.8 inch DMD at 1920x1200 native in 16:10 — one DLP chip, in the panel size the L Series lenses are designed around.
• Single blue laser with an RGB three-colour phosphor wheel and a colour wheel — REC.709 at 15,000 lumens, the right target for broadcast and presentation content.
• 5,000,000:1 dynamic contrast and JBMA uniformity above 90% — the second figure is what decides whether a 600 inch wall reads as even at the edges.
• 1.19-2.15:1 standard lens with 1.6x zoom, covering 70 to 600 inches, plus 0.52:1, 0.56:1, 4.4-7.0:1 and 4.7-7.9:1 lenses for rooms the standard one cannot reach.
• Motorised zoom, focus and shift, with vertical ±50% and horizontal ±15% of offset — set the picture from the control position, not from the ceiling.
• ±30° keystone on both axes with four-corner correction — correct the geometry in the projector rather than in the mount.
• 3G-SDI, LC optical fibre, HDBaseT at 500 m, DVI-I, DisplayPort and HDMI 2.0 x2 — feed it from a control room and still keep a local HDMI for a laptop.

The standard 1.19-2.15:1 lens covers most rooms, and its 1.6x zoom means the mounting distance does not have to be exact. The 0.52:1 and 0.56:1 lenses bring the body close to the wall; 4.4-7.0:1 and 4.7-7.9:1 reach the far end of a long hall. All four fit the same centred bay with the same motorised focus, zoom and shift. Send the wall size and the distance, and the lens can be fixed before the order ships.

3G-SDI takes a broadcast feed without a converter. The LC fibre port carries the picture from a machine room beyond copper distance, and HDBaseT does the same over Cat cable at up to 500 m for video and control together. DVI-I and DisplayPort cover installed PCs and media servers, while the two HDMI 2.0 inputs stay free for a laptop or a switcher. Outputs are 3D SYNC, VGA, audio, RS232 and LAN.

This is a fixed-installation body: 35 kg, rear I/O, rear keypad, 42 dB and 1,160 W put it in a booth, a rear rack room or on the ceiling behind the audience rather than above it. It suits large venues that already own the signal infrastructure — an auditorium with a control room, or a stage or exhibition wall fed from a media server.

1,160 W, plus or minus 10 per cent, in high brightness mode, and under 0.5 W on standby: a dedicated circuit, not a shared ring main. Laser life is 15,000 hours standard and 20,000 in eco. The chassis is black plastic over sheet metal at 600 x 590 x 210 mm, and the lens sits centred, so a ceiling position can be marked from the centre line of the screen.
