Two humanistic exhibitions were specially curated from artistic and philosophical perspectives. Through novel and engaging art forms, the exhibitions presented the shared experiences and beauty gathered at Chengdu Ocean Taikoo Li in its streets and squares.
The super-long scroll painting, "The Beauty Gathered Here,"
created and completed by traditional Chinese painting artists Lang Chao and Ma Peizhi, is on display in the Man Square exhibition hall.
It is 4.95 feet wide and 105 feet long, composed of five scenes and 500 figures.
Entering the circular exhibition hall, the beautiful scenery of Dujiangyan and the Minjiang River surrounding Chengdu, the folk architecture of western Sichuan, and the preserved buildings and streets that have stood for thousands of years come into view. 500 figures from different eras stroll leisurely through the city, seemingly enjoying the passage of time. The scroll paintings unfold layer by layer, telling the story of the beauty gathered here, vividly depicting Chengdu's unique blend of fast-paced fun and leisurely lifestyle, and its magnificent scenery.

The traditional Chinese painting art is combined with projection display, using a layered presentation of static scenes and dynamic figures to embed numerous figures and various Chengdu landscapes into a unified yet varied picture. Upon close inspection, each figure is lifelike and exquisitely detailed, full of charm. The entire space utilizes ten professional laser projectors, employing a combination of real and virtual techniques to create an immersive viewing experience.
